If you're a girl and single, Bangkok is a fun place to play at any hour without fear of harassment. Travelling alone or in groups of women is much safer here than in countless other cities around the world. Taxis, tuk-tuks, and public transport like the Skytrain (BTS) and underground (MRT) are all pretty reliable (have a look at our Getting Around section). You don't have to worry about being hassled - as long as you are savvy and streetwise.
Naturally, the same rules apply here as elsewhere - don't wander around quiet dark alleys, and don't make eye contact with someone unless you want to have a conversation. Be assertive and ignore people you don't want to keep company with. Most of all, have fun - that's the whole point, isn't it? We've rounded up some of Bangkok's favourite ladies night events, where entrance is almost always free, and at some places there are even drinks on the house (especially if you get there early).

Wednesday nights are ladies nights, and from 17:00 - 21:00, ladies can enjoty unlimited amounts of gin, whisky, and rum - all for free.

Ladies Night is every Wednesday with free champagne and house margaritas from 18:00 - 20:00.

Hu'u
Wednesdays are Ladies Night at this club cum bar at The Ascott, and it's a sweet deal - three free drinks before 22:00, and two free drinks from 22:00 to midnight. It could be a night to remember, or forget.

Wednesdays and Sundays are Ladies Nights, when it's free admission after 21:00.

Chicks Rock Night at Barber
Girl power rules at these party events with their all-female cast of DJs. Previous events had themes like Biker Bitches and Switchblade Sisters. Normally hosted at out-of-the-way venues, the events attract a wildly deviant crowd. The only prerequisite of the evening is to dress up as a chick who rocks. For 200 baht admission, you get a free drink and 'gear'. Prepare to rock. Next venue to be announced soon.
